Just like in a challenging video game level, when we're confronted with limitations, it becomes a catalyst for innovation and forces us to tap into our creative reserves to solve problems. Think of it as a puzzle, where we must find unique ways to navigate through obstacles.
We'll delve into the unexpected benefits of constraints, akin to the early days of horror movies. Back then, tight budgets limited the use of prosthetics, animatronics, and CGI, prompting filmmakers to cleverly conceal the monster from the audience's view. This ingenious approach ignited the audience's imagination, making the monster even scarier and the movie more gripping.
Contrast this with modern cinema, where seemingly unlimited resources allow for excessive use of CGI and makeup, often revealing the monster in all its glory. Ironically, this abundance of exposure can lead to a diminished sense of fear, making the movie less captivating.

Do you always tell yourself the truth? Funny question, right? As it turns out, we all have a little difficulty being fully self-aware. As creators of our lives, it serves us to know our truth and this episode is all about how to get down to it. One of the things we get into is how to become a little more sensitive to our feelings so that we can see what is really going on within us. There is a tendency to avoid how we truly feel though because we are trying to manage our lives and not give into difficult emotions or allow them to make us break down. The problem is, when we deny our emotions we sometimes deny our truth as well. There are greater consequences that can come with doing this over time. We wanted to look at how to approach this challenge in a way that is not only more healthy, but also in a way that allows us to walk away from our truth feeling better. As a master artist of your life, it is about allowing our truth to serve our life and other's lives, in a greater way.

Do you ever stop to think about why we laugh and what causes it? On this episode, we decided to dig into it a little deeper. We wanted to ask; what makes something funny and why does it make it so? We identified some of the most obvious things right away, but as the conversation got going we tapped into some of the more specific details that don't always get airtime. We had a month-long break from our last conversation so there was a lot to catch up on. Both of us had a bunch of things to bring to the conversation. What we stumbled upon was this idea of "chaos" and what role it plays in our lives. Sometimes the excitement of the adventure we want in ourselves comes from things that we don't fully understand. Things that are not necessarily in our control. There may be surprises and all sorts of things that come up unexpectedly. Maybe that is where the art lives within us though and how we respond to it is the discovery of what our creative expression truly is.

Don't force it. Work with the thing that is there, the thing that has shown up for you. Most of us are conditioned to make things go our way, but we miss all sorts of opportunities when we give into this limited form of thinking. There is something to having determination and perseverance, but that journey toward the vision is going to take you in all sorts of ways you don't expect. Sometimes the best path is not the most direct path. Creativity will often demand you take the windy road, the long road or even the harder road. There may be something you need to acquire along the way that is more important than the destination itself. You won't know what that is until you have stumbled upon it. So embrace the path you walk and trust that the road leads you to your vision no matter how far off track it seems to go at times. If you are lucky it will take you on an adventure and one day you may just find that the journey was the point all along.

What is your life beyond your comfort? It is easy to settle into a way of life that becomes consistent and predictable, but maybe there is something in our hearts that we want beyond this. We decided to discuss what it means to choose your own adventure.
Starting this conversation we looked at risk and responsibility as separate things, you could choose one or the other. Part way through we came to the realization that they are actually both sides of the same coin. We discovered that the best choice of action is to do both things at the same time. The question then is:
"What is the most amount of responsibility and risk I can take at the same time?"
So instead of choosing one or the other, risk or responsibility, you instead choose both in varying degrees when deciding upon the adventure you'll set out on. This way the risk is not careless and you can feel good about what you put on the line as you go after your heart's desire. An adventure will inevitably have its ups and downs, but this way you'll be able to traverse it with a sense of confidence and care.

As you put your attention on something it begins to take on a life of its own. You begin to engage in a relationship with it and there is a sensibility that you develop in the process. This becomes your understanding of order and priority.
With every decision we make there is a balance between rationale and emotion. We often need to consider both sides in the decisions we make. In some cases, allowing emotion to drive us can help us access our motivation to take action. At other times, it may wiser to think it out before we do anything rash. Developing a sensibility about what to do or what not to do is about knowing when to favour either emotion or rationale. It is about gaining a sense of balance between the two and coming to an awareness of how to navigate them both at the same time. In this talk, we wanted to discuss what it means to develop our sensibilities around decisions and help us all make choices from the best place possible.

The fear of rejection is one of the biggest challenges we face. It can create a denial of the truth that exists within us and override our better judgment. We dive into these things with the intention of coming out more aware of how to navigate these limiting ways of doing life.
Unless we challenge our fears, and further, confront our denial of them, we will not see how they are playing out in our lives and holding us back. What is guiding you? Do you allow fear to control your choices or do you let love show you the way? Often the decisions we make either come from a place of fear or love so we dig into it. It is not always easy to determine what is driving us. It is worth looking into it and really considering the forces at play. The world is abundant with fear, worry and anxiety, but that does not mean we have to accept it. It does not mean we have to give in to it. Sometimes, the best thing you can do for yourself is to replace your fear with love and let it guide your response to what ypu'll do in your life.
